• This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.
• Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must ​relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.
• This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 50%.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering (mechanical, electrical engineering, architecture)

  o OR equivalent experience.

• 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

• 2+yearsexperience with mission critical systems like datacenter, healthcare, oil, military, or utilities

• 2+years experiencewith designing systems and/or developing products for industrial or mission critical environments.

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in mechanical, electricalengineering, architecture

• Experience with cross-disciplined systems design (electrical, Information Technology (IT)/Telecom, supervisorycontroland data acquisition).

• Experience withData center thermal systems design, analysis, and optimization of cooling systems for data center environments, hydronics, cooling distribution, liquid to liquid and liquid to air heat exchangers.

• Data Center ElectricalSystems design,energyback-up and uninterruptedpower supply,mediumvoltageswitch gear, low voltage power distribution

• Single reqs: Microsoft will accept applications for the role until August 29, 2024.

• Provide technical leadership for the systemarchitecture andengineering team in developing innovative and scalablesystems andproducts for Microsoft's data centers.

• Define the system requirements, specifications, architectures, and interfaces for the products, ensuring alignment with customer needs, industry standards, and regulatory compliance.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as product management, software engineering, hardware engineering, networking, testing, and validation, to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of the products.

• Manage the system integration, verification, and validation activities, including conducting prototype testing, field trials, and customer feedback sessions.
