You will lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts, coordinating across multiple teams to develop optimal solutions. You will be expected to create a roadmap, align with business partners on prioritization, propose appropriate tradeoffs, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.Key job responsibilities
-Responsible for the over-all systems development life cycle of key product sub-systems-Work closely with the engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach
-Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Ability to drive consensus within a team and influence outcomes in significant technical decision-making
