Electrical Product Engineer works very closely with hardware/Mechanical/Software design team plus manufacturing team & other multi-functional team to ensure the product is manufacturable meeting cost, Quality & delivery requirements.

• He /she reviews the design & architecture from DFM, Component technology used, EOL etc.
• During NPI’s he/she should provide all technical support required for Proto builds and ensure cost/Quality targets are met
• During sustenance, need to manage change management activities & also need to work towards meeting factory and field Quality metrics.
• Value Engineering activities to be driven to improve the cost margins.
• Supply chain continuity & Resiliency support-Skills required :
• Very good understanding on Electronic product design and architecture.
• Good understanding of Hardware interfaces – High speed serial interfaces, PCIE, Ethernet, SATA, I2C etc
• Knowledge of PCB design, Stack ups and Allegro.
• Knowledge of Valor and DFM is a Plus.
• Knowledge of PCBA Manufacturing, System Build and NPI process.
• Knowledge of Product development process from concept to launch phase.
• Expected to have good driving capability to work with cross-functional Teams and drive the deliverables to closure.

Perform New product and Sustaining engineering DFx: DFM, DFR, DFSC, DFT

Value engineering (component selection, process efficiency, and design changes)

BOM structuring and BOM risk Management.

Design tool proficiency (DFx, schematic, CAD, other CAE tools)Cost avoidance (pre-A0) and sustaining cost reduction

Design lab experimentation / debug (proficiency continuum) / DOE /EFA

Knowledge and application of industry innovations / trends to product or program Creating, analyzing, and releasing product documentation. Manufacturing (Process), FMEA, Design FMEA.

Design diagnostic analysis and input / influence. Leadership and direction of complex issue resolution
