Additionally, the CT Systems Development Lead Engineer will ensure the quality of installed products, investigate system issues with the field service team, and provide technical solutions and support to regional teams. This role also requires knowledge of Quality Management Systems, Risk Management, and Regulatory compliance.

As a CT System Development Lead Engineer, you will become a member of the innovative technical team that drives these advances into the industry. You will report directly to the CT Systems Manager.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Working with cross-functional engineers, the marketing team, the product definition team, and the global team to define system requirements for new products and technology roadmaps.
- Collaborating across functions and team boundaries to define, design, and implement technology solutions for new product introductions.
- Utilizing broad technical expertise and experience to help resolve complex design issues with current products.
- Providing domain expertise to lead technical design reviews, investigate technical risks, and offer innovative solutions to achieve optimal system performance.
- Developing new CT products through product programs.
- Providing technical leadership for project execution.
- Driving innovation for competitive technical differentiation.
- Defining CT requirements, integrating sub-systems, and managing risks through product programs.
- Developing methods to improve product quality and customer workflow, and delivering system-level designs to provide effective solutions.
Qualifications / Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science, Software, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems design engineering, preferably in medical imaging or a related industry.
- Scripting language coding experience with Python, MATLAB, etc.
- Effective communication skills – ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.Demonstrated ability to complete tasks.
- Proven problem-solving ability and results orientation.
- Business-level Japanese and English communication skills to drive local and global development work.
- Must be legally authorized to work full-time in Japan.
Desired Characteristics (but not limit to)
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Medical Physics, or a closely related field.
- Experience in the development/research of medical imaging devices.
- Experience in CT product development, particularly in image reconstruction and radiation dose areas.
- Proven record of innovation in technology development.
- Proficient in software coding and/or the use of software tools for analysis and simulation. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
