Service & Repair Technician II (Machinist)

Key Responsibilities:
· Operate Precision Machines Milling / Lathe and perform basic bench fitting
· General knowledge of usage of hand tools and precision measuring instruments is a requirement.
· Check all Tooling, Gauges and perform basic Equipment Maintenance
· Expected to be able to interpret Blueprints and CMM
· Inspect parts Dimensions and Geometry as per Drawing / Blueprints specifications
· Ensure that machining work carried out meets the required Quality as stated in the respective Manuals and Technical instructions eg. SBs
· Ensures that work carried out meets to the required quality as stated in the respective manual.
· Initiate & implement Continuous Improvement activities (Kaizen) to improve Productivity & Quality Key Experience & Capabilities:
· Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, NITEC/NTC in Precision Engineering
· At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in conventional Milling / Turning
· Experience in performing inspection of engine parts will be an advantage
· Knowledge in CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) will be an added advantage
· General knowledge in the usage of Hand Tools is a must
· Proficient in the Set up & Operate Lathe/Vertical/Horizontal machining centers for performing machining work
· Understanding of 5S and TPM concepts
· Experience with and understanding of Six Sigma and Lean tools will be an added advantage
· Strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
· Diligent, hardworking, and able to work in a fast pace working environment
· Committed and may be required to working overtime
· Must have basic Computer knowledge & skills
· Knowledge in SAP will be an added advantage
