J.P. Morgan manages in excess of $350Bn of collateral balances and processes 20M transactions each year. More than 200 collateral clients globally, with 6,400 CSAs for over 100 third-party buy side clients.
Primary product support falls into 3 categories: Derivatives Collateral Management (DCM), Securities Collateral Management (SCM) & Margin Control.
Primary functions span three global teams:
- Core Operations own day to day processes
- Middle Office have ownership of overall operational client satisfaction
- Client Implementations own the onboarding of new and incremental client/business to the CSO platform
As a Trading Services Analyst within the Collateral Services Operations team, you will support internal & external clients (predominantly Banks & Broker Dealers) in managing their mar/gin obligations/exposures. You will be involve in the resolution of outstanding issues, to make decisions based on precedent and experience when confronted with frequently conflicting priorities. Where necessary, liaise with other areas to agree a satisfactory conclusion, ensuring minimum impact to Trading Services
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and update current processing controls to ensure they are maintained and aligned with current tasks.
- Identify gaps in processes and ensure full compliance with SSAE16 standards.
- Document and regularly update current workflows and task lists.
- Implement new controls and workflow changes after obtaining appropriate sign-off to minimize financial loss.
- Inform and collaborate with Risk Management upon identifying potential risks.
- Proactively assess and recommend process improvements to assist in risk mitigation.
- Escalate issues to the Manager, participate in resolution actions, and ensure procedures are updated after reviewing the issue.
- Investigate and assist in implementing new procedures or systems to enhance the overall service of the group.
- Ensure all work received is actioned, accounted for, and control procedures are adhered to; resolve or escalate issues as necessary.
- Follow the specialist’s Checklist, ensuring all items are actioned daily with necessary sign-offs throughout the day.
- Participate in resolving outstanding issues, make decisions based on precedent and experience, and liaise with other areas to agree on satisfactory conclusions, ensuring minimal impact on Trading Services. Additionally, review workflows, report on all KPIs, and track work volume trends, including reconciliation errors, documenting negative trends and proposed solutions.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience in Securities Lending, Settlements, Trade Support/Middle Office, or COACs role.
- Fluency in Mandarin, with the ability to understand, speak, read, and write
- Good knowledge of Global Financial Markets.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, and Python is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with strategic internal and external partners.
