Job Summary:

The Finance Lead will oversee all financial activities related to payroll, GST, wages, compliance with the Factories Act, and the Bonus Act, in consultation with the compliance vendor. This role requires a meticulous, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills to ensure the company's financial health and compliance with statutory requirements.

Payroll Management:

  • Oversee the processing of payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment of salaries and wages and being responsible for monthly end-to-end payroll verification of payroll inputs and outputs.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including employee data, salary adjustments, deductions, bonuses, and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with HR for accurate time and attendance records.
  • Work closely with the local team and HQ Finance Team.
  • Assist in identifying possible duplicate invoices prior to payment.

Bonus & Salary (Wages) Act Compliance:

  • Manage bonus calculations and ensure timely disbursement in compliance with the Bonus Act.
  • Maintain records of bonuses paid and ensure proper documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all provisions of the Bonus Act, minimum wage laws, and other wage-related regulations.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and present financial reports related to payroll, GST returns, and compliance activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
  • Monitor all disbursements to ensure they are paid in accordance with company policy (purchase to pay, ER policy, travel policy, etc.).
  • Review A/P, petty cash, and other employee-related invoices and match purchase orders.
  • Check and report on statutory dues including TDS, Professional Tax, Provident Fund, and ESIC to vendors as required.
  • Process full and final settlement of resigned employees and other one-off payments.

Internal Controls and Audits:

  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.o
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits related to payroll, GST, wages, and compliance.
