You will be tasked with solving critical software automation and verification problems in a distributed systems environment. Working with developers and QA teams you will become an expert in system-wide automation infrastructure. You will ensure the exceptional performance of the products used to deliver the world's largest OTT events.

As a Software Engineer II.., you will be responsible for:

• Designing, developing and enhancing the automation frameworks used by the Product testing and development teams
• Collaborating closely with Product stakeholders in creating the automation infrastructure to replicate real world scenarios
• Reviewing product & system design requirements to come up with efficient automation frameworks or libraries
• Evangelizing the automation frameworks and tools across Akamai

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 2+ years' experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Have demonstrated experience in developing test automation and full stack applications in Python, Golang, JavaScript
• Have exposure to Container technologies like Dockers and Kubernetes
• Have experience with Django, Celery, Redis, MongoDB, Postgres, Grafana/InfluxDB, Flask, Apache spark, Jenkins, Selenium, Appium etc.
• Experience using GIT and/or Perforce for version control; knowledge about internet technologies like TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS etc.
• Be passionate about solving large scale distributed systems problems using Data Structures and complex Algorithms.
