Lead product DFM/A (Design for Automation/Assembly), based on mechanical drawings and POCs.
Mechanical drawings review and tolerance stack-up analysis.
Plan and Conduct POCs for the mechanical assemblies based on the designed JIGs/setups.
Product design changes based on the POCs analysis.
Development of a robotic end of arm tools such as PnP, Screwing, Dispensing, etc.
Development of an automatic/semi-automatic machines and setups including machine mechanical structure, tools, and interfaces to all machine systems such as conveyors, sensors, electrical and motion systems.
Development of a mass production JIGs and Pallet common supports.
Integration of the designed setups and tools in production.
Requirements
Education: BSc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience as mechanical engineer in the automation industry.
Experience using mechanical design tools – Solidworks.
Experience in mechanical design of PnP, Dispensing, Screwing, Laser welding, Soldering machines.
Experience working with robotic systems such as industrial robots and gantry systems.
Experience in mechanical design of automated machines structures.
Hands on experience with conducting POCs using JIGs and sensing/measurement equipment.
Experience in manufacturing process development.
Good understanding in machine system architecture comprised of Robotic, Vision, SW and mechanical design – An Advantage.
Good analytical skills, self-starter with drive, focus, and initiative.
Language skills: Good English, both written and verbal.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
A real team player able to efficiently work with multi disciplines across the organization (Production, R&D, QA etc).
