This position will give you the opportunity to bring our revolutionary products and amazing technology to the world by working closely with our global Apple teams to discover the root cause of product failures. You will be given every resource you need to push the boundaries of what is possible, to do the best work of your life.
In this role, you will work in a lab environment, be responsible for using your engineering and scientific knowledge, and top-end equipment to figure out the root cause of product failure and recommend corrective actions, as well as present the findings to global teams and executives: - Understand the failure background and design the investigation plan- Conduct the investigation, including but not limited to operating all kinds of advanced material characterization tools- Report your findings and discuss or debate with your colleagues on the next steps, conclusions, and corrective actions- Present the data in global meetings and/or executive reviews
- Graduate degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or related disciplines, and Ph.D. preferred.
- Experienced in using chemistry analysis tools such as FTIR, GC-MS, ToF-SIMS, etc.
- Fluent in English, highly effective communication skills, including the ability to seek direction, listen to feedback, as well as communicate complex findings in a clear and understandable manner.
- Adaptability to fast-paced environment and work scope change to meet business needs, strong aptitude for learning new techniques.
- Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple high-priority tasks at the same time.
- Willing to collaborate closely across organizations.
- Failure Analysis lab or Material Industry experience.
