Work with time-series datasets using a variety of statistical and ML based techniques to refine and extend the long-range forecasting models and algorithms we use for some of our key financial metrics
Team up with the Finance BI team to develop a comprehensive interactive long range forecasting tool in Python (utilizing the Streamlit in Snowflake framework)
Quantify the uncertainty inherent in revenue and cost metrics in our long range forecasts and enable our application to run scenarios / simulations of effects under different conditions
Provide insights and perform ad hoc analytics to answer stakeholder questions on our revenue and bookings forecasts
Think creatively to find optimal solutions to our complex, typically unstructured problems.
OUR PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL HAVE :
2+ years of experience as a data scientist in a technology company, especially on a finance data science team
Advanced SQL skills, including experience building complex data pipelines and using SQL to perform analysis
3-5+ years of experience with Python in a professional setting
Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Engineering, or CS)
Experience with financial forecasting and modeling
Hands-on experience with MPP databases, such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Vertica, etc.
Ability to clearly present learnings to business and technical stakeholders.

The estimated base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $189,700.
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.
