McAfee is seeking a SDET position to work on a Windows anti-malware software solution. In this position, you will work with experienced developers and security researchers to understand, validate, design automation, and deliver engineering solutions to address the problems in today’s security landscape. Having software QA knowledge will be an added advantage.
About the Role:
- Collaborate with product development teams throughout the product life cycle to ensure software quality requirements and goals are met.
- Ensure the product is secure, stable, and reliable, with a focus on automating functional and non-functional tests.
- Perform code reviews and white box testing to uncover defects early.
- Participate fully in Agile team activities (e.g., standups, planning, peer reviews).
- Proactively identify, communicate, and suggest alternatives for roadblocks.
- QA knowledge is an added advantage.
About You:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science with 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with Python and knowledge of an object-oriented programming language like C++.
- Expert knowledge of QA methods, tools, and testing practices, with working knowledge of test and defect management tools like QAC and Bugzilla.
- Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, time-management, and multitasking skills; ability to work independently.
- Experience performing functional, regression, and non-functional testing like performance and soak.
- Experience with performance tools, SDK white box testing, data centers, and VM management is an added advantage.
