As a Fund Accounting Manager within our team, you will be responsible for delivering fund service NAV operations, processing and validating transactions, reporting, resolving inquiries, and serving as a contact for escalations. You will ensure timely and accurate reporting to our clients, aligning with agreed expectations and statutory/regulatory governance in our clients' industries.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accurate and timely production of the Fund's daily and monthly accounting activities and net asset value calculation for various clients.
- Review all financial statements prior to production and ensure timely and accurate sign-offs from various constituents of the valuation process.
- Establish policies, procedures, and guidelines that comply with internal and external controls to continuously strengthen the controls environment.
- Develop and implement efficient and standardized workflows within the team and at various points of hand-offs.
- Lead and motivate the team, providing support, training, and management.
- Identify training needs and implement solutions to maintain team skill sets and mobility.
- Manage relationships with clients, including JPMorgan & Chase Co. partner locations, through service delivery and a proactive approach to client requirements.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Knowledge of Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Account Reconciliation.
- At least 7 years of experience in the finance industry.
- Proven analytical, prioritization, organizational, multi-tasking, proactive, and negotiation skills for decision-making.
- Knowledge of the Securities industry, including dividends, principal and interest, corporate actions, and trading activity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to identify problems and take appropriate actions to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience in managing a team for at least 2 years.
- Chartered Accountant/CPA/MBA/Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
