Engineer (Manager IC)

What You’ll Do

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company
• Own technical roadmap and influence teams by leading technical discussions to deliver impactful solutions
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community
• Drives impact beyond the scope of their project/team by building relationships and advocating for best practices
• Develop and architect highly available and scalable multi-tenant systems using cutting edge technologies
• Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment
• Utilize programming languages like Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL and Python, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container technologies like Docker and a variety of AWS tools and services.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• At least 8+ years of experience in application development
• At least 3 years experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• At least 10+ years of experience in application development using Java, Python or Node.js
• 5+ years of experience in distributed microservices
• 3+ years of experience in full stack development
• 3+ years of experience with AWS. AWS Certification is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
