Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on revenue recognition processes in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Lead the translation of business requirements into technical specifications for SAP PRA implementations.
- Analyze and reconcile revenue accounts for clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Collaborate with client teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and design effective solutions that align with industry best practices.
- Prepare and review revenue-related reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for clients.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements related to revenue accounting for client engagements.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in processes and solutions, leveraging best practices.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations regarding revenue transactions.
- Provide expert guidance on SAP PRA functionalities, including division order, production accounting, and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in special projects aimed at optimizing clients' revenue accounting processes and enhancing system performance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead delivery streams, manage projects, and engage with external clients.
Skills and Expertise Required:
- Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles, particularly ASC 606 and IFRS 15.
- Proficiency in SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (PRA) and other ERP systems.
- Experience leading and managing SAP PRA module implementations for clients in the Upstream Oil & Gas sector.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Experience Level:
- 8-10 years of experience in revenue accounting, specifically within the oil & gas industry and management consulting.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in the Upstream Oil & Gas sector.
- Experience with joint venture accounting, production revenue streams, and SAP PRA is highly desirable.
