All roles require extensive demonstrable experience of having originated, shaped and successfully closed large, strategic and commercially complex sales opportunities with a strong focus on technology enabled business transformation.


Your key responsibilities

  • In collaboration with respective Partners, lead the business development, sales and pursuit execution for complex deals – driving and owning the delivery of high-quality deal output e.g., tenders and pitches
  • Ensure the delivery of the end-to-end winning sales strategy for complex pursuits, responsible for ensuring all stakeholders and resources are managed to deliver the highest quality outputs and outcomes
  • Support, coach and lead as required, the strategy for client engagement planning, client communications and client satisfaction incl. key client engagements related to opportunity management
  • Oversee pursuit resources and deliverables - personally developing and ultimately being responsible for the overall quality of the corresponding output.

Skills & attributes for success

  • Significant experience of sales and pursuit / bid management in a professional services and/or corporate complex sales environment
  • Proven track record in playing a leadership role in the origination, strategy, management, governance and winning of complex pursuits
  • Proven track record of direct client facing sales experience in a complex and strategic sales environment (including client relationship ownership)
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, having demonstrated the ability to identify new and innovative deals / original revenue streams / unique partnerships
  • Experience building and maximising internal and external in complex matrix environments
  • Experience working in a cross-border, multi-cultural environment
  • Whilst not essential but desirable, experience of working in a Partnership.

To qualify for this role you must have

  • Extensive experience in a complex sales environment, and the ability to drive, structure, industrialise and professionalise all aspects of the business development and sales execution lifecycle process
  • Strong executive presence and ability to build and sustain internal and external client relationships at the highest levels of the firm and with C-suite clients
  • Extensive understanding of opportunity qualification frameworks and processes
  • Hard and soft skills necessary to drive transformational sales performance within UKI Sales and wider EY business
  • Versatile relationship style to succeed in a constantly evolving environment with a wide variety of social styles.
