As a Lead Engineering Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in assisting the engineering team and ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects. You will lead and coordinate a team of technicians to provide technical facilitation for product development and testing.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you will work out of our Clearwater, FL location. This role is eligible for hybrid work mode, except for the first 90 days.

In this role, you will impact the success of our engineering projects by providing technical expertise and guidance to the team. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure the quality and reliability of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a team of technicians to provide technical facilitation for product development and testing
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide technical expertise and guidance to the team
  • Ensure the quality and reliability of our products
  • LabVIEW Programming expertise and LabVIEW experience supporting unique tasks in the PLT1 Radiation Lab.
  • Expertise in configuring and setting up Keysight Scopes, Power Supplies, and Function Generators in a lab environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and efficiency


U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an engineering technician or a similar role
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in relevant technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

WE VALUE

  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently, taking initiative, and completing assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Extensive lab experience supporting programs of varying complexity. The ability to analyze and present extensive data in a meaningful graphical form to Customers.
  • Hardware prototyping expertise, utilizing SuperPDF3 Lab and PLT4 Model Build Resources.
  • Familiarity supporting ASIC/FPGA designs and related lab tasks.
  • Experience in guiding and coordinating a team of technicians
  • Knowledge of engineering best practices and quality standards
  • Strong dedication to safety, quality, and compliance
  • Excellent communication and people-oriented skills
