Key Responsibilities:
- Testing, calibrating, and verifying Honeywell systems and peripheral devices, with the testing to be performed according to all applicable standards and codes (e.g. ULC536).
- Verifying the system functional performance to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements and shop drawings/sequence of operations, etc.
- Performing system backups and installing appropriate updates and patches.
- Completing documentation of all work done, including all readings, offsets, etc.
- Updating customer drawings/documentation with any configuration or model changes.
- Ensuring all assigned Preventive Maintenance tasks are completed in the time allotted and the month scheduled.
- Responding to, and resolving Emergency Service Calls as required, in accordance with customer contract deliverables.
- Diagnosing and performing repairs in a time effective manner.
- Participate in the delivery of small service or installation jobs, including engineering, programming, documentation, installation management, start-up testing, and customer acceptance.
- Stay updated on product and preventive maintenance techniques and predictive maintenance.
- Promote and maintain good customer relations.
- Communicate customer requirements, system status, and potential issues to supervisors.
- Provide technical training and demonstrations to customers.
- Prepare job plans to ensure jobs are completed within budgeted costs and timelines.
- Provide quotes to customers for additional services or extras as requested.
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments according to Honeywell policy and regulatory requirements.
- Report near misses, incidents, and other opportunities for improvement.
- Manage Honeywell assets such as tools, proprietary software, and site databases.
- Attend and complete required training programs.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 3+ years of experience within technical or business field
- High School diploma or equivalent GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
WE VALUE
- Advanced knowledge of Honeywell products and services, specifically Fire, Security, and HVAC control systems.
- Experience with Honeywell XLS1000 and XLS140/3000 Fire Detection Systems.
- Expertise in the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of Process Controls, Engineering systems (SCADA, DCS, PLC).
- Proficiency with Honeywell Enterprise Building Integrator EBI Software and PKS Experion.
- Knowledge of Honeywell Excel 5000 Controllers and CARE Lon Engineering Software.
- Experience with Honeywell ComfortPoint® Open (CPO) Plant Controller Platform.
- Customer service experience in technical sales, estimation, and support.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
