Key Lab Capabilities include:

CT X-ray, SEM, DSC, Rheology, Surface Profilometry, FTIR, Instron tensile testers. Responsible for the initiation, design, development, execution, and implementation of scientific research projects.

• Investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential technologies, materials, processes and products.

• Plans and executes laboratory research to prove feasibility of concepts.
• Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories and contributes to scientific literature and conferences.
• Participates in intellectual property evaluations and development of patent applications.
• Consults and interacts with outside and inside experts.
• May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts.
• Write and submit professional articles for technical journals.

Requirements:

• Hons BSc degree in a Technical Discipline (Material Science, General Science, Chemistry, Physics, Polymer Science, Analytical Science etc.)
• 3-4 years relevant industry or equivalent experience
• Experience with coating technologies advantageous but not required

• The successful candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative, while possessing strong team player characteristics.
