CT X-ray, SEM, DSC, Rheology, Surface Profilometry, FTIR, Instron tensile testers. Responsible for the initiation, design, development, execution, and implementation of scientific research projects.

- Investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential technologies, materials, processes and products.
- Plans and executes laboratory research to prove feasibility of concepts.
- Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories and contributes to scientific literature and conferences.
- Participates in intellectual property evaluations and development of patent applications.
- Consults and interacts with outside and inside experts.
- May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts.
- Write and submit professional articles for technical journals.
Requirements:
- Hons BSc degree in a Technical Discipline (Material Science, General Science, Chemistry, Physics, Polymer Science, Analytical Science etc.)
- 3-4 years relevant industry or equivalent experience
- Experience with coating technologies advantageous but not required
- The successful candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative, while possessing strong team player characteristics.
