Your impact
Thefor the RTS Link Project is responsible for the on-site coordination, technical oversight, and integration of rail systems during the construction, testing, and commissioning phases. This role ensures that all systems—including signaling, communications, traction power, platform screen doors, and SCADA—are implemented in accordance with RTS Link design specifications, cross-border regulatory requirements, and operational readiness targets.
1. Systems Installation & Integration
- Oversee the installation of rail systems across RTS Link assets including stations, tunnels, and depot.
- Coordinate interfaces between civil, trackwork, and M&E contractors to ensure seamless systems integration.
- Ensure compliance with RTS Link Authority (RTSLA), APAD, and LTA Singapore standards.
2. Testing & Commissioning
- Support the planning and execution of static and dynamic testing, including cross-border system validation.
- Coordinate with OEMs and specialist contractors to ensure system readiness for trial operations.
- Participate in joint testing activities with Singapore counterparts and facilitate cross-border integration.
3. Site Engineering Support
- Provide technical support to site teams and subcontractors, resolving engineering issues in real-time.
- Review and interpret IFC drawings, interface control documents, and method statements.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
4. Safety & Quality Assurance
- Enforce safety protocols, particularly in live rail and high-voltage environments.
- Monitor quality of installation and ensure adherence to RAMS, SIL, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and safety briefings in coordination with both Malaysian and Singaporean authorities.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate site records including red-line drawings, test logs, NCRs, and interface reports.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for internal stakeholders and RTSLA.
- Support the preparation of as-built documentation and system handover packages.
Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.
