Tesla is looking for the most driven and self-motivated engineer to manage root cause analysis and problem solving with Gigafactory in Berlin. The role is focused on problem solving, optimization and future development of vehicle build in Berlin.

• Work without supervision to identify noise, vibration and harshness improvements
• Develop robust countermeasures for in-plant non-conformances
• Assess vehicle performance for noise, vibration and harshness – BSR (Buzz, Squeak, and Rattle), powertrain noise, road noise, and wind noise
• Utilize all shop and noise, vibration and harshness lab equipment as needed
• Record test data during vehicle noise, vibration and harshness testing
• Work cross functionally with other Engineering teams to correct process, design, or incoming supplier quality concerns
• Be a strong advocate for customers and the impact of noise, vibration and harness concerns on perceived quality

• Education in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, with strong understanding of NVH diagnostics and rectification
• Able to read and understand GD&T
• Out of the box thinking for new and innovative solutions
• Have great knowledge of Quality problem solving techniques and experience with manufacturing/design
• Excellent knowledge of vehicle and vehicle subsystems operation; knowledge Tesla-specific vehicle architecture a strong plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team as needs require
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
