About the position
As an Asset Specialist, you will ensure that the R&D department at Animal Health in Boxmeer adheres to our standards and protocols. Your role is vital in maintaining the performance, reliability, and compliance of our laboratory equipment, as you collaborate closely with various teams across the organization.
Primary responsibilities
As an Asset Specialist you will,
- Develop and uphold the asset management strategy tailored to the R&D department’s needs.
- Maintain general procedures for the lifecycle management of laboratory equipment in R&D.
- Facilitate and support the entire lifecycle of R&D lab equipment, including purchasing, validation, periodic review, and retirement.
- Co-responsibility for maintaining the validated status of all laboratory equipment used within R&D.
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy and currency of an up-to-date master list of R&D equipment.
- Collaborate with and provide guidance to Equipment Specialists within R&D, acting as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to lab equipment.
- Serve as the R&D Key User for the SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP-PM) system.
- Collaborate and align with various departments and stakeholders (e.g., Validation & Calibration, IT, QA, Avantor) to optimize the validation processes for R&D lab equipment.
- Keep abreast of new developments and regulations concerning the validation of laboratory equipment.
- Collaborate with R&D key users (equipment owners) to harmonize workflows, achieve optimization, ensure uniformity, and simplify operational procedures.
Your profile
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Biotechnology, Chemistry).
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a laboratory environment, including experience with SDLC equipment.
- Strong understanding of laboratory equipment, maintenance practices, and quality assurance standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic approach and openness to change.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in Dutch and English.
- Familiarity with project management principles is considered advantageous.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Strong analytical capabilities, enabling you to maintain an overview and set priorities effectively when required.
