Treasury Funding’s primary responsibility is to ensure effective cash management of Citibank’s Nostro accounts across Western Europe by compiling and analyzing currency positions within the day, and by reconciling previous days’ positions.

Our Budapest office is part of theServices, Markets, Banking & International and Client Operations organization.

What you will do:

• To provide SME support for Transformation / Automation / System migration projects
• Regular review of existing processes, look for opportunities for simplification and/or improvements and drive the execution of these
• To provide accurate and timely securities and forecast funding projections and, if needed, initiate liquidity transfers accordingly
• Act as maker or checker in both areas
• Support/help Treasury Funding Junior/Senior Analysts at various levels in managing their BAU activities
• Make decisions on complex funding activities where more in-depth knowledge is required
• Highlight the risks/control gaps, make suggestions and drive the implementation of these
• Monitor Nostro Account balances and align reporting to Market Cut-offs
• Review and analyse complex transactions both intraday and during reconciliation
• Effective communication with departments whose work is related to nostro cash management, including the G10 Markets Treasury trading desk
• Timely resolution of any reconciliation issues
• Timely and effective escalation of all issues
• Reconciliation of Nostro accounts
• Claim Interest costs from erring parties

Ideal background:

• University/College degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
• Strong mathematical or analytical background
• 4 years+ experience (within Treasury Funding Group or in relevant areas)
• Excellent communication skills (with senior stakeholders if needed) in English
• Proactive and critical approach to the processes
• Strong PC skills in Excel, Word and Outlook. Training will be provided on other systems used within this position
• Precision, keen attention to details
• Strong interpersonal skills
