Job Description
As a Quant Analytics Associate, in the Data and Analytics team, you will be a key member of the connected commerce Analytics team. You will work closely with Product Owners to deliver insights in terms of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. You will strive to build consensus with Product Owners on if, where, when, how, and whom to promote customer engagement by defining metrics, sourcing data, developing queries, and creating reports
Job responsibilities
- Own the Reporting and Automation function for Commerce Payments Data and Analytics function.
- Ideate and explore best Industry standards in reporting that we do and ensure we are building high standards in terms of data quality
- Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions.
- Create data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy.
- Rationalize complex normalized data sets allowing for ease of cross org consumption.
- Partner with the LOB and broader D&A organization to understand business requirements and objectives.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Proven ability in leadership and able to handle senior stakeholder conversations.
- Proven team management skills with at least 3+ year in the role.
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Alteryx and Tableau and Experience with Building and designing using Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle, SQL DB, Snowflake etc.
- Adept at explaining and converting complex dashboards into digestible information to be consumed by audiences of varying levels of expertise
- Preferred Adobe Analytics knowledge

- Intellectually curious and eager to learn new things with an eye for innovation
- Being able to demonstrate initiative, completing projects/tasks independently is highly desire
- Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks

- Operational business knowledge of processes, data, controls, and technology platforms
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 10+ years of industry experience in Data & Analytics
- Must have prior experience working in Digital and/or product analytics
- In depth understanding of common digital metrics and definitions
- Experience working on Digital behavioral data tools (E.g.: Adobe Analytics)
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant quantitative field required (e.g. Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Physics, Data Science fields); advanced degree preferred
- In general, top-tier talent, as demonstrated by performance history and educational background/accomplishments
- Ability to work in large and medium sized project teams, as self-directed contributor with a proven track record of being detail orientated, innovative, creative, and strategic
- Influencer with great interpersonal skills and proven ability to achieve alignment across a range of different views and interests
- Demonstrated ability to define business KPIs and establish measurement frameworks
- Structured thinker with passion for analyzing results and digging deeper
- Excellent communicator able to convey complex information in an understandable, compelling, and persuasive manner to senior executives
- Strong aptitude for technical concepts and ideas
- Preferred knowledge in modern data mining, quantitative research, and data science techniques (e.g., decision trees, regressions, machine learning, string similarity, behavioral analytics, look-a-like models)
- Experience across broad range of modern analytics tools (e.g., SQL, AWS, Hive, Hadoop, Spark, Python, R)
- Superior written and oral communication and presentation skills with experience communicating effectively with diverse audiences – across business and technology partners, including senior leadership
- Consulting orientation with ability to influence and effectively lead cross-functional teams
- Financial services background preferred, but not required
- Self-starter with out-of-the box problem solving skills and a drive to bring new ideas to life
- Strong time-management skills, with the ability to multi-task and keep numerous projects on track
