As a Discretionary Accounts Control – Vice President within JP Morgan Chase, you will be responsible for providing oversight of fiduciary accounts and supporting the Portfolio Management Group/Investors on their daily operations. You will partner with Internal Audit, Compliance, and other control functions to remediate control issues and proactively identify and mitigate risks. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support on oversight of fiduciary Accounts and support Portfolio Management Group/Investors on their daily operations.
- Review of Investment Parameters: ensure compliance with Investment parameters signed by the client and consistent with the set up in Connect.
- Review pre-trade check controls and assess any potential trading issues
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of fiduciary accounts and ensure that all breaches are appropriately addressed/resolved
- Produce and, on occasion, design high quality Management Information to be used by the most senior of regional managers
- Present the team in governance committees
- Perform testing in relation to system enhancements, new releases and product launches
- Conduct monthly meetings with Regional Investment Team Lead to review post trade exceptions. Provide first level control and oversight of the investment management business across a series of market teams as needed
- Partner with Internal Audit, Compliance and other control functions to remediate control issues, as well as proactively identify and mitigate risks
- Participate in projects and strategic initiatives as directed by the Head of Discretionary Control for Discretionary Accounts
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor ‘s degree or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of relevant experience within Control/Risk/Audit in the financial services industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage multiple asks to tight deadlines and re-prioritize as required
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong communication skills: the role will involve communicating with employees of varying levels, with diverse roles and different native languages
- Comfortable interacting with and presenting to all levels of management
