• Create efficient SQL statements to optimize data to be used in reporting platform
• Evaluate existing systems to proactively identify and address data quality issues to maintain report consistency and accuracy.
• Analyse complex datasets, Implement best standards in writing queries and build data models
• Partner with business stakeholders in designing and implementing changes to the reporting data layer.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science and 7+ years relevant experience
• 5+ years' experience in building and/or supporting data models for BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik
• Hands on experience in writing complex, optimized SQL queries for high performance reporting platforms.
• Understanding the business requirements and translating them into data models.
• Experience with database, model design and segmentation techniques.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and architectures, including star schema, snowflake schema, data marts, and data lakes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated experience estimating project scope from requirements, providing accurate timelines
• Good organizational and time management skills, ability to be flexible, set priorities and meet deadlines in a changing environment
• Effective decision-making and critical thinking skills
• Experience working with Vertica is a plus
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills through clear and concise written and verbal progress updates to diverse audiences.
• Commercial pharmaceuticals industry experience and knowledge a plus.
