Lead tDemand Planningto meet customer needs, business requirements, and service level objectives. In addition, supports monitors and maintains finished goods inventory levels and system integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages a team of professional employees. Provides day-to-day supervision and tactical oversight to the team. Adopts continuous improvement practices for team. Utilizes evaluation criteria and tools to coach and develop planners for high performance.
  • Collaborates with divisional & regional counterparts to plan for and maintain appropriate levels of inventories. Drives business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, and new product launches. Monitors key sales and operations planning performance indicators, coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives. Helps to drive end-to-end thinking and agility across value streams with the end customer in mind.
  • Functional expertise to support New Product Launches, Acquisitions, Integrations, Site Transfers Optimized Product Flow, Resiliency). Applies understanding of the business and industry standards, guides team through alignment with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Forecast Inputs / Improve Forecast Accuracy: Manages others who work directly with all business stakeholders to set the forecast to meet regional demand. Removes barriers for forecast accuracy to improve business results.
  • Launch products effectively: Participates in the definition of the objectives of the new product launch. Recommends changes to inventory strategy when needed. Escalates issues through SI&OP process. Coaches others on launch best practices including responsibilities on product development teams.
  • Inventory Management: Recommends inputs to inventory targets and maintain in system, applying specialized conceptual and practical knowledge in own job function or field and full understanding of related job functions. Manages inventory to plan, identifies and leads opportunities for improvement, reducing inventory charges and creating VIP's. Communicates supply updates to marketing and regional stakeholders and can explain difficult or sensitive information to facilitate productive discussion and/or work to build consensus.
  • Supports SC Operations with DC SI&OP projections and ensures constant collaboration to improve high standard of service to customers
  • Master Data Maintenance: Ensures SOP’s are understood by all planners and facilitates review when necessary. Remain current on training for SOP’s and Work Instructions regarding ERP and planning system master data. Is knowledgeable on master data fields managed in other functions.
  • Project Management: Supports the development and documentation of project plans. Understands dependencies and sequence of events. Supports the execution of required monthly/scheduled tasks with little oversight. Leads a project team and escalates issues to management. Removes barriers to successful completion.
  • Computer & Systems Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite of applications, with strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to use those tools to create clear visual stories to share with collaborators. Strong understanding of the Rapid Response planning system. Possesses a strong understanding of BSC ERP system.
  • Data Analytics: Able to conduct thorough data analysis to address complex problems. Uses system tools and modeling to extract broad data sets. Communicates clear results and recommendations using advanced analytics to craft visual stories.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements).
