Our Water business in Singapore is looking to hire an experienced Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) to lead our Zero Harm initiative at our water treatment plant project in Tanah Merah. This role is critical in maintaining workplace safety excellence while overseeing a team of contractor WSH professionals to ensure incident-free construction activities. Reports to HSE Manager, with accountability to SO/SOR/Construction Managers; the key responsibilities are as follows:
- Lead the implementation of company and project-specific safety, health, and environmental management systems on-site, ensuring Zero Harm goals are achieved
- Provide oversight and guidance to contractors' HSE professionals through structured meetings, audits, and inspections
- Coordinate comprehensive HSE activities including inspections, emergency response planning, behavior-based safety programs, and incident investigations
- Drive regulatory compliance with Singapore WSH regulations, codes of practice, and environmental standards
- Monitor and validate contractor HSE performance for incentive/disincentive programs
- Deliver monthly HSE performance metrics and trend analysis for project reporting
- Assess safety impacts of field changes and construction modifications, recommending appropriate control measures
- Ensure proper management of PPE and safety equipment throughout the project lifecycle
- Support the WSH Manager in developing and implementing HSE initiatives across all project phases
