In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop teams that maximize quality, efficiency and productivity
- Evaluate the database configuration and processes according to established policies and procedures of the organization
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
- Establish performance standards, evaluate performance, train and mentor team
- Develop in policies and procedures and training materials
- Make decisions and resolve issues regarding objectives and operations of the fleet assets in the database management area to meet business objectives
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Database Management
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Database Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of Leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in database administration, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role
- Deep expertise in SQL Server technologies, including HA/DR solutions
- Proven experience managing 24x7 production environments with mission-critical databases
- Strong understanding of performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning
- Excellent people management skills with experience in coaching, team development, and performance management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate with application and infrastructure teams
