Job Description

Technical Manager Identification

Responsibilities include, however not limited to:

  • Facilitate technical customer support for the identification portfolio, to both internal and external stakeholders

  • Follow complaint and product failure investigation and management processes, ensuring accurate record keeping and reporting both internally, and to relevant external parties;

    communicate with and support end users and the sales team as required to address product complaints, ensuring a customer centric approach and a high level of customer service, including on farm visits periodically to investigate complaints

  • Measure & report on complaint reports, working with internal Quality Assurance colleagues, regional and global teams to escalate and address issues as required and seek solutions or resolution; take leadership in identifying process and workflow improvement and implementation, ensuring input is received from all relevant stakeholders in relation to complaints and below expectation product performance

  • Co-ordinate prioritisation processes to manage technical support in a timely & efficient manner, consistently maintaining a customer centric approach

  • Be a technical identification expert for business strategy development and contribute to strategy implementation and activities, within the Australian strategic plan, collaborating with sales and marketing functions, and the broader Technical team

  • Develop technical training modules for sales, marketing and other internal teams to ensure a high level of technical knowledge internally

  • Build and implement training for end users and customers, collaborating with the sales team, to provide a high level of customer understanding of the company portfolio, and a high standard of customer care

What You Must have

  • Prior solid and well demonstrated technical experience in animal health, livestock equipment, identification & traceability or related industries

  • Science based degree or similar qualification, with understanding of scientific trial design, and the ability to interpret technical data

  • Experience dealing with regulatory processes, or working within a regulated environment advantageous

  • Strong understanding of agricultural industries including dairy, sheep and beef production systems

  • Ability to develop, document and deliver technical and training resources with the ability to impart technical knowledge with a variety of audience types

  • A high level of organisational skills, with flexibility & agility to move from one priority to another with ease, and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure

  • Interpersonal effectiveness, with proven ability to collaborate and establish strong relationships and the ability to engage with all levels of employee within the business

  • Drive to succeed with a passion for customers and delivering a high level of customer service and satisfaction

  • Commitment to improving customer experience at all relevant business touchpoints, and experience creating process and structure to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

  • Excellent professional judgement, decision-making and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to act decisively using evidence-based reasoning

  • Well-developed strategic and innovative thinking to execute organisational vision, with a focus on technical deliverables

  • Effect and maintain a high standard of communication and co-operation with all internal and external parties, working closely with sales, marketing, finance, other technical and operational divisions as required
