Jacobs Highways team provides comprehensive consultancy and engineering services to the highways sector, covering the full spectrum of highway infrastructure requirements, from business case and project development, preliminary appraisal, and feasibility studies through to detailed design, implementation, operational management advice and operations and maintenance.
As a Senior Design Engineer - Highways, you will be responsible for carrying out the highway design and producing deliverables on assigned Jacobs’ roads, highways, and related civil infrastructure development project. You will be part of the engineering team to develop suitable engineering options and solutions on a different scale of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the preparation of feasibility studies, technical reports, detailed designs, and production of contract documents across a variety of projects.
- Help seek innovative solutions in achieving the best value in delivering our services.
- Help development of the team through the delivery of projects and commissions, providing technical and administrative support where required.
- Drive continual improvement of our deliverables by using digital delivery tools, Lessons Learned from other projects and Clients’ feedbacks.
- Contribute to the coordinated technical delivery, reporting and associated governance of the projects.
- Implement improvement measures and share good practice as applicable.
- Assist with the technical development of more junior staff.
