Sr HSE Engineer-Industrial Hygienehere at Honeywell, you will serve as a functional HSE expert, providing Safety and Health program leadership and technical support to the facility. Work within robust operating and management systems to reduce risk. Strengthen systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and Honeywell requirements with special emphasis on Industrial Hygiene programs. Partner with business leaders and employees to continuously improve HSE culture, awareness and accountability in support of business objectives.
You will report directly to our Sr HSE Manager and you’ll work out of our Tempe, Arizona location. This role is 100% onsite.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Integrate HSE processes and safe work practices into daily operations
- Management and continual improvement of Industrial Hygiene programs including exposure assessment, hearing conservation, laser/radiation, combustible dust, ergonomics, health programs, PPE, and respiratory protection
- Lead HSE initiatives and continuous HSE improvement to support achievement of site goals and ensure zero harm to everyone
- Drive Excellence and engagement in HSE through management, leadership and employee involvement, worksite risk assessments, hazard prevention and control, and HSE training
- Deploy and manage HSE initiatives to continually improve performance of assigned programs and processes
- Develop and implement industrial hygiene and safety programs to maintain compliance with all HSE regulatory and company requirements
- Oversight and project management of HSE projects as needed
- Perform site compliance reviews and IH monitoring as needed
- Travel: 15% US
YOU MUST HAVE
- 5+ years of experience in Health, Safety & Environmental function
- High School Diploma or GED
WE VALUE
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety or Environment
- Experience in manufacturing, production, processing environments
- Consulting experience
- CIH certification
- HSE program/project development, implementation and management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Industrial Hygiene monitoring experience
- Strong investigation, RCCA, W5, Lean skills
- Ability to lead Safety Representatives or other teams
- Experience with HSE management systems
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Use innovative thinking to create continuous improvement
- Working knowledge of computer skills
