Software (SWA) comprises the definition, specification, and allocation of requirements from different sources utilising knowledge of systems engineering processes (specification & architecture). Contains processing of use case and feature requirements into conceptual models, operational scenarios, technical requirements, and functional description. Covers specification, design, implementation, and unit testing of Software (e.g. device drivers, microcode, hardware-related software & firmware) according to the requirements and architecture defined in the systems engineering process. Covers establishment and maintenance of Software Configuration Management (SCM) practices into software development projects, continuously building and integrating infrastructure tools and systems.

Lead & perform development activities of medium/high complexity features. Create design specs - basic/small scope/less complex. Support peers in completing tasks within own area(s) of expertise. Lead technical discussions with peers for resolving identified issues in own area(s) of expertise. Improves existing processes & solutions. Owns small/medium features.

Java and Spring Boot:

• Strong proficiency in Java programming.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework for building enterprise applications.

Modeling and Schema Design:

• Proficient in creating UML diagrams for software design and architecture.
• Expertise in JSON schema design and validation.

NoSQL Databases:

• Experience with NoSQL databases like Neo4j, MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar.
• Understanding of data modeling and query optimization for NoSQL databases.

Cloud-Native Development:

• Experience in developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCP).
• Knowledge of cloud services, serverless computing, and cloud storage solutions.

Microservices:

• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design principles.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Helm Charts:

• Proficiency in using Helm charts for managing Kubernetes applications.
• Ability to create, manage, and troubleshoot Helm charts.

Scripting:

• Good to have experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Ability to write and maintain scripts for automation and process improvement.

Additional Skills:

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Knowledge of container orchestration and management.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Java and Spring Boot.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Oracle Certified Professional Java SE) are a plus.
