Reporting to the HAY Quality Manager the Quality Engineer position is responsible for the maintenance, development and compliance of the HAY Quality Management System including regulatory compliance working directly with internal / external customers and regulatory bodies supporting competitive advantage for the HAY site and its customers.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and support Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) activities and initiative.
Interface with regulatory bodies / customers and stake holders representing HAY at all levels ensuring positive outcomes
for the organisation and its customers / stake holders..
Promote and utilizing enablers such as Honeywell Operating Systems (HOS) including Built in Quality identifying best practices driving continuous Quality improvements throughout the organisation using Kaizan, RPS / DMAIC and other improvement tools.
Lead the development and execution of the internal audit program including customer, regulatory audits to measure the overall effectiveness of the Quality Management System
Manage the Supplier Audit Schedule and conduct Quality system Audits as per Site procedures
Ensure customer satisfaction through direct customer contact ensuring improvements in communication and customer compliance.
Support for the review of contractual Quality requirements to ensure compliance to Honeywell, Customer, EASA, CAA, AS9100 or other regulatory requirements.
Responsible for authorisation of Quality Assurance related documentation and process approval, as directed by the
Quality Manager, both functionally and on behalf of HAY.
Support and execute projects leading to AERO / HAY standardisation, simplifying and improving existing Quality
Assurance processes ensuring compliance with Honeywell AERO & Regulatory requirements.
Your skills and qualifications
Relevant degree or experience in a technical field with emphasis on Quality Assurance systems.
Experience in compliance, proven ability to improve / re-write the Quality Management System
Quality in a related aerospace environment will be considered.
Lead Auditor Qualifications.
Excellent knowledge of CAA / EASA Part 21 / Part 145 / AS9100 Regulations with emphasis on Production Organizations.
Proven Customer experience, with solid understanding of Quality Assurance Systems.
Ability to build trusting relationships and communicate effectively at all levels
Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities while working effectively in a team environment.
Ability to communicate ideas with clear understanding of audience and gain commitments that are critical to the success of the organisation.
