Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead a Test Engineering team, providing them with technical guidance and deliver high-quality software to meet customer needs.
- Develops and modifies our Testing processes and methods, focusing on continuous improvement.
- Researches, analyses, and monitors the new technologies in the Testing industry.
- Directs team members for Automation, Regression and Performance Tests.
- Facilitates communication upward and across project teams.
- Employee management includes but is not limited to sourcing, interviewing and hiring for open positions, onboarding, establishing goals and assigning or delegating work.
- Participate in continuous self-education in the Engineering field (i.e., methodologies, tools) to keep abreast of industry direction and standards.
- Support, mentor, and coach as well as provide professional development for your team.
- Perform continuous team member evaluations to enable frequent feedback.
- Identify hiring needs and be the hiring manager for recruiting engineers.
- Motivate and foster a collaborative environment within your team, actively engaging with senior management. Adopt a managerial approach that emphasizes support and empowerment for your teams, while also championing the cultivation of a positive and cohesive team culture.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong hands-on expertise in Networking, Kubernetes and Container technologies and Security Domain, with a focus on Testing.
- Expertise in software engineering and testing methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and experience in leading teams through the Software Product Lifecycle including System and Performance testing for Feature and Maintenance Releases.
- Experience in interfacing with external facing teams and handling customer issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong leadership/mentoring abilities.
- Extensive experience with bug tracking and triage systems.
- Willingness and ability to adapt to new processes, ideas, and concepts.
Qualifications:
- BE/ME in Computer Science or equivalent with 15+ years of experience in software product development and test engineering.
- Experience in testing and delivering Kubernetes-based products and services.
- 3+ years of people and Technical management.
