As a Senior Security Architect you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with engineering teams to build secure products.
• Driving strategic projects related to security in the SDLC and security best practices.
• Providing guidance and answering questions about security practices.
• Contributing to documentation on security best practices, standards, and requirements.
• Working with engineering teams on security focused, technical design and architecture reviews.
• Identifying security issues and working with engineering teams on remediation.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have an understanding of security fundamentals and the role of security in the software development process
• Be collaborating with engineers, architects, etc. to contribute to the security of Akamai's products.
• Have experience integrating security processes and tools, such as static analysis and software composition analysis, into the SDLC.
• Be current with the latest security technologies, attack techniques and vulnerabilities.
• Demonstrate security knowledge across multiple specialties such as cloud security, network security, cryptography, etc. and have experience with security architecture in a large, global environment.
• Possess the ability to build partnerships with and communicate issues to senior technical leaders and business stakeholders.
