Your role and responsibilities
As a Linux Development Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Developing, maintaining and fixing Linux distro packages specific to Power/ppc architecture.
- Validation of Linux distro images using frameworks such as openQA.
- You will be required to build, maintain and improve automation for installation of Linux Distributions.
- You will also interact with the opensource communities such as Debian, Fedora an Ubuntu communities to upstream your work.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- 1 to 5 years of experience in working on projects related to Yocto distribution, Linux distributions and build packages.
- Strong programming skills in C, Python and shell scripting.
- Strong Operating Systems skills.
- Working knowledge of Computer Systems Architecture.
