As a Content strategist at BMC, you will serve as a leader in building and measuring effective digital content by bringing an audience-first approach to content marketing, measurement, and optimization. In this individual contributor role reporting to the Editor-in-Chief, you will work closely with product and digital marketers, the creative and social teams, and marketing operations to make effective and engaging content that sets our brand apart.
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
  • Collaborate with brand, demand, digital, and other marketing leaders to develop integrated content strategies and ensure concepts and assets align with the strategies.
  • Help advance the content marketing discipline across the company, with an eye on competitive and industry benchmarks, a focus on business goals and outcomes, and a view across multiple channels, including social.
  • Manage and optimize our best assets by implementing reuse across channels like events, syndication, and blogs.
  • Provide content ideas based on our keyword strategy to ensure the content we make is optimized for organic reach.
  • Manage ad hoc content requests and drive usage of repeatable templates.
To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Communications, or Journalism.
  • You have 5-7 years of content marketing experience within an B2B enterprise technology company.
  • You have a proven background in problem-solving, storytelling, and synthesizing technical information into compelling content.
  • You have experience with strategic planning and presentation as well as excellent written and verbal communications and copywriting experience.
  • You have some familiarity with AI Tools and how they integrate into content strategy.
  • You are an expert in content analytics and processes, including but not limited to content KPIs and benchmarks, content audits, and content/creative briefs.
