Prototype Mechanical/Electrical Designer - Krakow

As a Mechanical Designer within Adv Tech Europe at Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS) in Krakow, you will play a crucial role in the early stages of technology development. Your primary focus will be on creating innovative concepts and designs from a blank page, utilizing your strong mechanical engineering background. Your ability to think creatively and quickly will be crucial to generate concept designs around our technology innovations. You will also have exposure to NX (possibly Creo) PCB design, as well as a strong background in aircraft drawings, geometric design, and tolerancing. Your knowledge in these areas will ensure that your designs feasible for test completion and compliant with industry standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Generate innovative and creative concept drawings from minimal instructions (sometimes a blank page) and then bring them all the way to full realization for testing.
• Incorporate NX (possibly Creo) PCB design into concept development.
• Apply knowledge of aircraft drawings, geometric design, and tolerancing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and develop concepts.
• Present concepts to stakeholders and gather feedback for iteration.

• Fluent English language communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrable exposure in using NX.
• Exposure to design incorporating electronic components as well as more conventional mechanical designs.

• Familiarity with Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) processes.
• Exposure to collaborating within cross-functional teams and presenting your concepts to different stakeholders.
• Additive design philosophy.
• Familiarity with CREO.
• Familiarity with PCB design.
• Broad understanding of Thermodynamic Systems.
• Broad understanding of Aircraft Environmental Control Systems (ECS).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum.
• Further degree in Mechanical Engineering (M Eng).
• Continuous learning mindset and willingness to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
