About this role:

In this role, you will be responsible for structuring, documenting, booking and ongoing monitoring of secured financing transactions with WFBI’s clients as part of the Global Secured Trading team (GST).

In this role, you will:

• Support execution of secured funding transactions for our clients on behalf of the bank.
• Provide daily front office support in trade processing, collateral management, securities financing transaction reporting and P&L monitoring.
• Provide analytical support for the wider team.
• Build a deep understanding of funding, balance sheet and liquidity optimisation techniques.
• Prioritise to successfully execute a wide range of internal processes, client requests, and transactions of varying complexity.
• Drive constant process improvement and find efficiencies across the platform.
• Support the build out of the relevant infrastructure for the booking of transactions, on-going management and monitoring.
• Appropriately escalating any conduct and risk issues to senior management.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in Securities Sales Trading, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• Strong interest in, or experience of financial markets, operational risk or a treasury function
• Knowledge of repurchase transactions or secured lending facilities beneficial
• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accountancy, or other quantitative discipline
• Fluent in English.

Central Bank of Ireland Regulatory Requirements

This role is designated as a Controlled Function 4, 10 &11 (CF-4, 10 & 11) role under Part 3 of the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 (sections 20 and 22) and as such is subject to certain regulatory requirements.

Individuals who perform a CF role must have a level of fitness and probity appropriate to the performance of that particular function and must comply with WFBI’s Fitness and Probity policy. WFBI are required to carry out prescribed due diligence to assess your fitness and probity, and to satisfy itself on reasonable grounds that you comply with the standards of fitness and probity prescribed by the Central Bank of Ireland pursuant to any code issued under section 50 of the Central Bank Reform Act.

As a role carrying a CF-4, 10 &11 designation, the role holder will also be subject to the Common Conduct Standards under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Individual Accountability Framework and will be required to take reasonable steps to ensure the Conduct Standards are met.

The role holder will be required to possess and maintain the appropriate technical knowledge required to perform the role and to understand the regulatory obligations to which they are subject as a CF-4, 10 &11, to include, without limitation, the Conduct Standards and the Fitness and Probity Standards.

• An individual who performs a CF-4 role arranges financial services for WFBI customers.
• An individual who performs a CF-10 role deals in or has control over a customer’s property. This includes client monies and client financial instruments.
• An individual who performs a CF-11 role deals in or with property on behalf of WFBI. This includes WFBI monies and WFBI financial instruments.
