What You Can Expect
As a participant in Tech Connect within the Military & Athlete Technical Programme, you will:

  • Join a full-time, multi-week Java training program to build your coding knowledge and skills.
  • Engage in a 6-month placement to apply your training in practical scenarios.
  • Receive specialized technical training and one-on-one coaching from expert developers.
  • Gain support from managers, senior leaders, and program management teams.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create innovative solutions for our customers, clients, and employees.
  • Contribute to the design, analytics, coding, and testing of high-quality software and new products.
  • Own projects and keep teams and stakeholders informed on development progress.

About You

Requirements:

Demonstrate a strong interest in technology and a commitment to building coding skills.

  • Participate in a multi-week intensive Java training program to launch your technology career.
  • Apply innovative thinking to improve products and services within the financial sector.
  • At the time of joining, you must have been out of full-time military service or professional sports for no more than 2 years. Contribute fresh perspectives and ideas from the start of the program.
  • Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Utilize exceptional problem-solving abilities to tackle complex challenges.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and mentors.
  • Adapt quickly to new information and technologies as a quick learner.
  • Leverage your background in the Armed Forces or Professional Sport to bring unique insights.
  • Ensure availability to start the Tech Connect Program in July 2025.
  • Maintain the right to work in the UK throughout the program.
