You will be the technical visionary for our Smart City initiatives in the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. Your work will directly influence how millions of people live, work, and connect. • Architect the Future of Urban Sight: You will lead the video analytics roadmap refresh, defining the next generation of intelligent vision systems that will help cities see, understand, and act. Your designs will make streets safer for children, streamline commutes for families, and help first responders save precious seconds when it matters most.
• Set the Global Standard: You will benchmark our technology with other Intel experts, ensuring that Intel isn't just a participant, but a leader in shaping the ethical and technical foundations for smart cities worldwide. Your voice will ensure that the cities of tomorrow are built on open, fair, and interoperable standards.
• Bring the Vision to Life: You will lead the APJ demo engineering efforts, crafting breathtaking proof-of-concepts that turn abstract concepts into tangible realities. You'll build the hands-on experiences that make city planners and community leaders think of new possibilities.
• Inspire and Co-Create: Through customer workshop technical presentations, you won't just present slides-you'll tell a story. You'll stand before mayors, city planners, and community leaders, listening to their hopes and challenges, and then painting a vivid picture of how technology can turn their vision for a better community into reality.
• Your Legacy: The Next Generation of Innovators: Perhaps most importantly, you will step into a technical mentorship role for our APJ Smart City Engineers. You will be the guide, the spark, and the trusted advisor. Your success will be measured not only by the solutions you build, but by the brilliant minds you nurture and the leaders you help grow.

Key Platform and Hardware Expertise:

• Proven experience with hardware platforms; proficiency with Intel Architecture (Atom, Core, Xeon) is highly preferred.
• Hands-on ability to set up, integrate, and troubleshoot Intel-based HW, OS, and software stacks.

Advanced Media, Video Processing and AI Expertise:

• Deep knowledge of media processing, including codecs (H.264/H.265/AV1), and frameworks like GStreamer, FFmpeg, or Media SDK.
• Solid understanding of video analytics pipelines and DL inference; practical experience with OpenVINO is a significant advantage.
• Experience in the video domain, such as Digital Security, CNN, Smart Cities, Transportation, or Smart Building systems.
• Knowledge of display technologies and media middleware/plugins.

Software and Operating Systems:

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux OS (Ubuntu, CentOS) and knowledge of Windows OS.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies, including Docker.

Problem-Solving and Leadership:

• Proven technical capabilities to analyze, troubleshoot, and debug complex issues across hardware and software.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills to lead initiatives and mentor team members.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science or related technical fields.
• Master's or PhD degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of work experience.
