Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling, Analysis & Reporting:

Lead the preparation of comprehensive financial and management reports, providing detailed analysis on financial performance. Conduct in-depth variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actuals and forecasts, helping stakeholders understand the reasons behind financial variances. A deep understanding of financial reporting standards, performance metrics, and financial modeling is essential. You will need to interpret financial results and provide strategic recommendations based on your analysis of both internal data and external market conditions.

  • Data Transformation & Interpretation:

Manage large volumes of unstructured, complex financial data, transforming it into coherent, easy-to-understand formats that support decision-making. Extract meaningful patterns and trends from raw data and present these insights in a way that is actionable for business leaders.

  • Stakeholder Management:

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that their reporting needs are met efficiently and effectively. Regularly engage with stakeholders to provide updates on service delivery, gather feedback, and make necessary adjustments to improve reporting processes.

  • Timely Delivery & Process Management :

Establish clear timelines and set expectations for report delivery, ensuring all reports meet the necessary deadlines without sacrificing quality. You will be responsible for creating workflows that enable timely delivery of insights, adjusting to changing priorities, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure the accurate and efficient completion of reporting tasks.

  • Dynamic Problem Solving :

Show agility in problem-solving, rapidly assessing and responding to challenges as they arise. You will need to apply quick thinking to troubleshoot data discrepancies, resolve issues under tight deadlines and deliver accurate results in high-pressure situations.

Required Skills:

  • Financial & Management Reporting :

A deep understanding of financial reporting standards, performance metrics, and financial modeling is essential. You will need to interpret financial results and provide strategic recommendations based on your analysis of both internal data and external market conditions.

  • MS Excel Proficiency :

Advanced proficiency with MS Excel is a must including Power Pivot, Lookups, and filters, to manage, manipulate, and analyze complex data sets. You will need to handle complex data manipulation, build robust financial models, and create dynamic, automated reporting tools that streamline the analysis and presentation of large data sets

  • Power BI Reporting:

Design, develop and manage dynamic, user-friendly reports and dashboards using Power BI. Ensure the backend ETL processes are robust and efficient. This includes automating data pipelines, creating meaningful visualizations, and ensuring stakeholders have real-time access to performance metrics.

  • SQL Query :

Write and execute SQL queries to retrieve data from various sources, ensuring that reporting databases are updated and accurate. Use SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to manage database queries and optimize reporting processes. You will be expected to maintain the integrity of large datasets, ensuring data consistency and reliability across reports.

  • Presentation Skills :

You will need to convey complex financial data in a clear, concise manner, using presentations to provide insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. The ability to create professional, visually compelling PowerPoint presentations is essential.

  • Pressure Management :

The ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while managing multiple reporting tasks under tight deadlines is crucial. You should be comfortable working under pressure and balancing competing priorities without compromising on quality.

  • Ownership & Initiative:

A strong sense of ownership over your work, combined with a go-getter attitude, is required. You should be proactive in identifying areas for improvement, taking the initiative to implement changes that enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and overall quality of reporting processes.

  • Innovative Mindset:

You should exhibit a curious and innovative mindset, constantly seeking ways to improve processes, automate reporting, and find creative solutions to complex problems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, reporting or related fields.
  • 7 -10 years of experience in financial reporting and analytics, Data analysis, insights and interpretation to leadership with to 2+ years of experience as a Power BI developer with excellent track record. Power BI certifications are a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with an unwavering commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving common goals.
