Your key responsibilities
- Lead audits of Private Equity and Real Estate funds and structures , including SPVs, partnerships, and regulated entities under Lux GAAP and IFRS.
- Review and validate NAV calculations, fair value measurements, and portfolio valuations in line with industry standards.
- Assess compliance with fund regulations (AIFMD, CSSF requirements) and investor reporting obligations.
- Apply deep understanding of complex investment structures, consolidation, carried interest, and waterfall calculations.
- Translate audit strategy into tailored procedures for PE and RE clients , leveraging EY’s Global Audit Methodology.
- Lead and develop a team of Assistants, ensuring high-quality execution of audit engagements and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, delivering exceptional service and proactively addressing client needs.
- Apply advanced accounting and auditing expertise to resolve complex issues and deliver value-driven solutions.
- Coordinate and oversee on-site fieldwork, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments and timely audit delivery.
- Translate audit strategy into actionable procedures, leveraging data and technology to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Ensure compliance with auditing standards and EY’s Global Audit Methodology, maintaining independence and integrity.
- Identify and manage risks, implementing strategies to safeguard audit quality and client trust.
- Drive account strategy and contribute to business growth, focusing on innovation and value creation.
- Perform and review higher-risk and complex audit procedures, applying professional judgment and technical excellence.
Skills and attributes for success
- University Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Audit, Accounting, or Controlling; professional certification (ACCA, CPA, etc.) is a plus.
- 3–6 years of experience in Audit, ideally with exposure to Private Equity and/or Real Estate clients; Big 4 experience is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Lux GAAP; experience with investment fund accounting and consolidation is highly valued.
- Familiarity with valuation techniques for private assets and real estate portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or Lux GAAP.
- Fluent in English; German and/or French is a strong advantage. Any additional language is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities.
