Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform daily job duties, Basic understanding of different plating bath chemistry in order to request necessary bath adjustment if needed.
  • Perform basic operation of different Plating tools in automatic mode.
  • Perform basic operation of metrology tools.
  • Perform non-standard process as long as process recipe is provided/CRMS is created by PE.
  • Good understanding of SPC chart and how to react to different warnings according to SPEC/OCAP.
  • Disposition hold wafer according to SPEC or disposition criteria provided by PE.
  • Capable of using IT-related application/software such as APC, Plating Report, MITECS, GS3, TSD report, EDCSPC, SPC chart, Fabtime, etc.
  • Notify PE/MFG if there's any suspected excursion.
  • Should know how to create future hold msg, attach and release hold.
  • Understand Plating module process.
  • Train DMTs with new process/tool.
  • Support team project.
Qualifications
  • 5 or more years wafer manufacturing hands-on experience
  • Must have strong computer skills, including knowledge of Windows and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be a self-starter and quick learner.
  • Must be able to solve problems and troubleshoot minor process and equipment related issues.

  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
  • If your position is non-exempt, you are eligible for overtime pay pursuant to company policy and applicable laws. You may also be eligible for shift differential pay, depending on the shift to which you are assigned.
  • You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.
