Job responsibilities
- Partner effectively with colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology control functions to drive consistent and rigorous operational risk practices
- Assist management team to advise on and continually reassess key risks and appropriateness of controls to ensure timely identification of significant issues to support an evolving business and regulatory environment
- Execute the control evaluation roadmap to facilitate the effectiveness of key controls and proactively identify control gaps
- Provide input for the end to end execution of the controls agenda including issue management, error analysis and resolution and proactive control reviews
- Ensure operational practices are in compliance with relevant risk standards, policies and regulations to maintain an effective control environment
- Support Business and Functions to ensure key metrics presented to location governance committees inform on the health of the risk and control environment
- Drive and manage projects and initiatives on risk and controls (e.g. regulatory projects and awareness sessions) and provide input to various control committees and forums
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience in operations, business or control function within financial services industry
- Team player, professional and proactive approach to work, positive attitude with an ability to communicate across multiple teams
- Very strong communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to drive a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk identification and assessment

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
