The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

Here, you will make an impact by:

• Partnering with global Application Engineering, Product Development, Product Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams to create and replicate high-impact bonding applications for our Foam Tapes portfolio.
• Identifying customer needs, test and analyze 3M solutions, and communicate results through reports and presentations to customers and the global engineering team.
• Supporting product launches by creating documentation, demo tools, videos, and training materials.
• Developing market insight into double-coated tapes, foam tapes, and fastening by understanding customer needs and competition, offering insights through "Voice of Customer," product ideas, as well as competitive analysis.
• Collaborating with customers to identify tape and automation needs and connect them with FEA specialists to support their design process.
• Swiftly diagnosing and resolving customer application issues to ensure satisfaction.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Chemistry from an accredited institution (must be completed and verified before starting).
• Substantial experience working with polymers or adhesives.
• Experience in Application Engineering and industrial automation systems.
• Basic experience with modelling, simulation, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Current and valid driver's license.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to participate in early morning or evening meetings with the global team, as required for effective collaboration across time zones.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Ph D degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science from an accredited institution
• Fluent in German
