Responsible for end-to-end data architecture and governance for one or more banking product categories (e.g., Deposits, Derivatives, etc.) and/or functional areas supporting Finance and Risk. Collaborate with business and technology teams as well as the Chief Data Office to implement proper governance of critical business data.
- Document lineage of data flowing to BCBS reports and critical business processes at both course-grained and fine-grained levels using appropriate enterprise or business sector tools.
- Lead development and maintenance of logical data models representing the data offered by source applications in their scope and ensure adherence to modeling standards and guidelines.
- Lead development and maintenance of mappings between logical and physical data structures using appropriate enterprise or business sector tools.
- Ensure that data transformations are properly document and implemented in conformance with business requirements
- Lead the design and implementation of required controls, including:
- Population, economic, and timeliness controls at meaningful levels of granularity for each data hand-off between systems in the lineage.
- Quality controls for Critical Data Elements to ensure completeness, validity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Participate actively in the design and implementation of metadata management tools.
- Advocate for best practices in data governance and data management. Work with business and technology partners to reduce complexity and increase the reliability of processes and systems
Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of experience in Information Technology
- 7 or more years of experience in Data Architecture and Data Modeling.
- 5 or more years of experience in Financial Services (preferably banking) with focus on Finance, Risk, and/or Regulatory Reporting
- 7 or more years of complete system development life cycle experience with complex data integration solutions using relational and/or cloud data platforms.
- 3 or more years of experience in a lead role
- Domain knowledge of banking products such as deposits, loans, securities, derivatives, etc.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently under strict deadlines.
- Experience with UML modeling and Magicdraw a strong plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
