- Promotion of Jacobs Ground Engineering in the UK & Europe.
- Providing strong technical management.
- Ensuring that technical delivery on projects meets contract requirements and client expectations.
- Contributing to the success of key business metrics.
- Introducing new technologies and working methods to improve work winning and operational performance.
- Developing staff capabilities through associated project work.
- Implementing resource management plans to support the business plan targets for the sector.
- Supporting the sector in the delivery of key business development and operational activities.
- Making important contributions to multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Proactive approach to career development.
- Degree qualified BSc, BEng, MEng, MSc or higher in civil engineering, engineering geology, geoscience or similar.
- Chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers, The Geological Society or equivalent.
- Strong technical domain knowledge within the ground engineering market.
- Experience of managing resources.
- Ability to progress and manage packages of schemes from inception to design completion.
- Ground Engineering professional with a network of contacts with Contractors, design houses, key clients and academic institutions working in the ground engineering field.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to utilise these skills as part of large multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience of project delivery and resource management.
- Experience of critiquing and quality assuring technical documentation.
- Experience interfacing directly with clients and building lasting relationships with them.
- Commitment to professional and personal development.
