You will be part of the Data Science team in Data Service Operations Management (DSOM) BU working on HelixGPT. HelixGPT is a generative AI solution from BMC tuned for IT, HR, enterprise service management (ESM), and operations use cases. The role combines both traditional data science responsibilities and cutting-edge model development. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including data analysis, model building, and communicating findings to stakeholders
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
- Build out prototypes using a variety of cutting-edge technologies and tools.
- Develop quantitative models using a variety of programs/software to support predictive assessments.
- Support adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions.
- Perform multiple forms of advanced analyses, sustainment, optimization, text analytics, machine learning, parametric and non-parametric statistical models & techniques.
- Build, test, validate and demonstrate analytical models through various relevant error metrics and calibration techniques.
- Design algorithms that require several different models/methods to be used in an ensemble.
- Deploy models into production.
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Python, Package Managers like pip, conda
- Prompt writing skills using OpenAI and Open-Source models like Llamma etc.
- Hands-on experience with LangChain framework and proficiency in integration with OpenAI models and Open-Source models like Llamma, etc.
- Hands-on Exposure to vector databases, and advanced RAG
- Elastic search proficiency - specifically in “vector search” (Elastic or OpenSearch)
- Understanding of encoder-decoder model architectures.
- Knowledge of the latest techniques in the GenAI space such as LORA adaptors, PEFT, quantization
- Experience in practical training cycles, GPU usage and inference accelerators
- Experience designing and developing deep learning, machine learning, optimization and statistical models using frameworks like Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, MXNet
- Experience in natural language processing and its application
Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:
- Hands-on explore to Knowledge Graphs is a plus.
- Knowledge of fine tuning LLMs including BERT and GPT based.
- Familiarity with various algorithms Inverted File Product Quantization (IVFPQ) or Hierarchical Navigable Small Worlds (HNSW) or other relevant algorithms
- Great communication skills, ability to explain predictive analytics to non-technical audience
- Proficiency in data exploration techniques and tools
- Self-starter and intellectual curiosity
